Python Job: Junior EWS modeller

You and your job
For Early Warning Signals (EWS) models we explore new data sources (weather patterns, transactional data, etc.) and modelling techniques to create data features, which help to predict if our customers are heading for distress – even before they know it. Early warning signals models allow for out-of-the-box thinking incorporated with pragmatic details of analytics and non-regulatory model development. In the EWS team, we are looking for a free-thinking modeller to help guide and assist in developing data-driven EWS.

Practical Examples

• Building EWS models for the majority of the balance sheet of Rabobank exposure
• Collaborate in finding new innovative ideas on how to approach data and modelling questions.
• Participate in ad-hoc Credit Core analysis for the bank-wide credit client journey.

• Be involved in short model development lifecycles – assessing the results of the models you have built with a short turnaround time.
• Find and analyse new data sources to create new features/variables in building Early Warning Signals (EWS) models. Aiming for more predictive early warning signals than currently implemented to help our front-line account managers.
• Work closely with key business stakeholders to help understand their business and how data-driven analytics can help their business. Making a difference by helping the front-end user.

You and your talent

• Master’s degree in a quantitative finance/econometrics/ mathematics field
• 1-2 years of model building experience
• Knowledge of Python or similar
• Encourages others

• Clearly demonstrates and takes ownership
